Today SolidWorks released SolidWorks 2009 Beta2 after fixing some of the glitches that were found in Beta1 thanks to all of the beta testers. If you are not already involved in the beta testing I highly suggest again to take some time and play with the features that you use on an everyday basis.
By participating in the Beta and Early Release programs that SolidWorks offers it not only allows you to help SolidWorks make their released product better but it gives you a head start at looking at the next version of the software to see if the features and tools you use everyday are to the point where they should be for your company.

Sorry Mike, you are correct. I received an email today from SolidWorks saying that Beta 2 was live and I figured it would be live by now. I guess things are a little slow in Concord today. Hopefully tomorrow!
I had a heck of a time getting SW 2009 to run because of licensing issues. But now that I have, it seems like a great improvement. I’ll be blogging about the new slots functionality very soon.
