User Group = User Friendly

As I had mentioned in my 1st post one of the things that I love the most about the SolidWorks software is the community of users that are available at your every need. SolidWorks User Groups are a great example of this community. If you are a SolidWorks user and are not part of a user group, I would highly recommend finding one and attending it. You can find the nearest one by you by going to the following site: http://www.swugn.org. I joined the West Michigan SolidWorks User Group last summer and we have meetings on a quarterly basis. These meetings usually consist of 2 or more presentations by either someone at the local SolidWorks reseller or just a user that has something to share. These presentations can become rather useful because it usually deals with something that you use on a daily basis and you get to see how someone else uses it. The one part that I thoroughly enjoy is the time when it is a open floor for all in attendance to bring up things that they are struggling with and discuss it with all of the other users. So I would just like to encourage you if you are not already part of a user group, find one. They are one of the biggest benefits that I enjoy with the software and I look forward to the next one from the moment I walk out of one.
