So yesterday I am stumbling around inside Microsoft Word 2007 and I noticed a new feature, at least new to me. Incorporated inside of Word 2007 is the ability to write blog posts. This is great because it will result in less programs on my computer that I need to have installed.
So from now on I will be writing my blog posts from Microsoft Word until I notice a problem that is limiting me. If you experience any issues with how my blog posts look or function please drop me an email so that I am aware of it and can correct the issue as soon as possible. Thanks and hopefully happy reading.
Jason,
The MS Word blog plugin makes for some nice editing capabilities not found in the stock blog interfaces. Like you mentioned it will take some time to get formatting correct. I played around with it durring SW World08, and had to tweek it a bit. If you look at this series of posts ( http://www.mikescadblog.com/2008/01/index.html )you will see how the font, picture size, and effect changed over the course of a few days. All in all, it openes up lots of fun possibilities.

Hey guys, you can also publish post from Google Docs. eliminates another program altogether, plus everything is saved online. Select the ‘Share’ button on the right hand side and select publish as web page. There’s an option in there to post to Blog. awesome.
Ricky posted about this quite a while back, I believe.
I prefer Windows Live Writer. It supports many different blogging sites, and has a lot of features, including watermarking images.
I may check out the Google Docs option though…
Brian,
I have previously used Windows Live Writer and have always loved it. Microsoft Word seems to support the majority of the same blogging sites (at least the popular ones). I also may have to check out Google Docs but right now I seem to be falling in love with Words blog writing features.
Everyone, keep the comments coming! I love it!
